Minimum age and minors<\/h3>\n<p>Use of Placenet requires you to be at least <strong>14 years old<\/strong>. If you are between 14 and 18 years old, you need the consent of your parent or legal guardian to use the app, in accordance with Article 8 of the GDPR and the LOPDGDD. Placenet may request reasonable mechanisms to verify that this consent has been given.<\/p>\n\n<h3>4. Data we collect<\/h3>\n<p>Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>Registration data:<\/strong> name, email address, password (encrypted), date of birth.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Profile data:<\/strong> photo, username or alias, and any additional information you voluntarily choose to add.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Geolocation data:<\/strong> your approximate location is used exclusively to determine which place or physical venue you are in, so as to connect you with the digital community of that space. <strong>Your exact location is never shared with other users<\/strong>; it is used solely to group you within the digital space corresponding to the physical place where you are.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>User-generated content:<\/strong> chat messages, listings, posts or events you create or take part in.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Technical data:<\/strong> IP address, device identifier, operating system, and app usage data (through cookies and similar technologies \u2014 see our Cookie Policy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>5. Purposes of processing<\/h3>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>Provision of the service:<\/strong> managing your account and showing you the digital community and features (chat, &#8220;With Me&#8221;, listings) of the physical place where you are located.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Functional geolocation:<\/strong> determining the &#8220;digital domain&#8221; or physical space you belong to at any given time, without revealing your exact position to other users.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Communication between users:<\/strong> enabling the exchange of messages and participation in events or plans within the same space.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Security and moderation:<\/strong> detecting fraudulent use, inappropriate content, or behaviour that breaches our terms of use, with particular attention to protecting underage users.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Commercial communications:<\/strong> only if you give us your express consent, in accordance with Article 21 of the LSSI-CE.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Service improvement and analytics:<\/strong> through cookies and analytics tools (see Cookie Policy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>6. Legal basis for processing<\/h3>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>Performance of a contract:<\/strong> processing your registration, profile and approximate location data is necessary to provide the service you requested when creating an account.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Consent:<\/strong> for commercial communications, for the use of certain non-essential cookies, and for parental consent in the case of users between 14 and 18 years old.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Legitimate interest:<\/strong> to ensure the security of the Platform, prevent fraud, and moderate inappropriate content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>7. Visibility of your profile to other users<\/h3>\n<p>When you use Placenet within a digital space (for example, an event, a coworking space, or a venue), certain information from your profile and the content you post (messages, listings, or participation in events) may be visible to other users present in that same space, in order to enable the social interaction the Platform offers. Your exact geographic location is never shared with other users.<\/p>\n<p>You can manage the information visible on your profile (photo, alias, bio) from your account settings, and decide what data you wish to voluntarily share in your interactions with other users.<\/p>\n\n<h3>8. Disclosure of data to third parties<\/h3>\n<p>We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data to third parties only in the following cases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>Technology providers:<\/strong> hosting providers, push notification services, or analytics tools, acting as data processors under a confidentiality and security agreement.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Legal obligation:<\/strong> where required by a competent judicial or administrative authority.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Other users:<\/strong> content you post (messages, listings, participation in events) will be visible to users of the corresponding digital space, according to the app&#8217;s settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>9.
